History: Oren hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Oren alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He takes great joy in being the best Miller in town.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Miller arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Miller and occasionally as a mercenary.

Personality: Hobart wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Expert, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He was born in the west. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Fortune-teller profession.

History: Born in the east to a Weaver, Bendoo learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and she wants revenge against giants
