Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She takes great joy in being the best Scribe in town.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Sariel was born on a far southern desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Scribe. She's also a talented Ruler, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. His chestnut hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His fierce hazel eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, John never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
