Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. Burana is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Born to a Servant, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: A plain young-adult man, he wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination. His chestnut hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. He has a tattooed face.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. Through the years after Bucklal was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Bucklal's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is fixated on the number 2. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. Volen enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Tanner. She's also a talented Armorer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
