History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A gifted student he started as a Bather, but he got bored and became a Cook. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. Saphara is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: When she was but 3 years old her parents immigrated from the north. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.
