Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He wears black robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a axe, but if one is not available he will default to his mace. His auburn hair, when down, is lengthy. His eyes are brown.

Personality: Garl is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact.

Description: She is an exceptionally muscular looking southern young adult. She dresses like a well dressed Spice Merchant does. Beneath her clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. She has styled her chestnut hair well, parting it to the right. Her silver eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Vepar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

Description: With black face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many gnolls want him driven away

Description: This man stands a little under 6'4" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright pastel and green, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His gray fur is thinning but still full. His copper eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. A true patriot, Shifting would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shifting grew up listening to his father's many stories. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Sage and was forced into it by his family; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
