She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the south were limited. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Merla was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He now mingles about in high society.
