Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, drow burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying north to reunite her family. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Katherine was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Katherine alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Weaver for hire.
