Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shifting grew up listening to his mother's many stories. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: She was born into a rich family. She married young, but lost her spouse to giants. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He hates giants. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Nelkin is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Many giants want him driven away.
