Description: This man sports tan clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized sapphire on his left hand. His silver hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His eyes are amber and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats.

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination. His hair is brown and curly. He has black eyes and a green hat with a white feather.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and to prove his worth to the world

Description: He stands about 5'11" and wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His right leg appears badly burned and disfigured. His hair is auburn and curly. His eyes are likewise blue.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Half-Elf in existence. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Nim's homeland. Nim decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south.

Description: She wears brown leather gloves, a brown jacket, and tight pants. She carries a battered sickle and tarnished axe as well. She keeps her gray fur in a pixie cut. She wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: She will rave to anyone who will listen. The war was a terrible time for her, and Elegant does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Elegant was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Elegant fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she feels kind of lost in life
