History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, Verin took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Verin was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the orcs.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Pennie embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Pennie was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Pennie's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others; and she is wracked by social anxiety

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Revenge; and he wants revenge against dire rats

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Veloptima was born the youngest of three triplets. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Halfling companion (her 'brother'). She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion
