History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Beggar arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Ar-Beka was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Ar-Beka was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Dragonborn companion (his 'brother'). He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
