History: He was born in a small desert village. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
