History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Halfling conditions. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Tod fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Farmer for hire.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Crown-heir arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Crown-heir. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
