Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving John alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
