History: Cory lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: Zephan hails from a village terrorized by illithids. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered illithids who tried to eat his hand. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Zephan was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: He wants revenge against illithids; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
