History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Paymon was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of gnolls

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the north were limited. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Qemuel fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
