He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: Miles is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has worked as a Scribe like his mother before him.

He has dyed his greying golden hair a little too much giving a sharp golden color. His amber eyes peer out from beneath his deerstalker white hat.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 26. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Barkeep arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Tûmûg grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Tûmûg. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. Ahinar enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She tends to her Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac
