Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Hatae was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Hatae's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety.
