Description: He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright red and yellow, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his sai, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a skull on it. His auburn hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Thorpe embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He disdains his fellow southerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He now owns his own business.

Description: The dark-skinned woman stands 4'10" and does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when she can avoid it. She sports a flattop hair cut. Her green eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Sailor. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Many giants want her driven away; and she is unsatisfied with her job

Description: This man is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of his veins is visible when he is not flexing. His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. He wears his blue hair down. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered dancing. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He is content.

Description: He wears light armors faded through time and improper care. He carries with him a set of whips on his belt, each one with a topaz on the hilt. He wears a broad hat to cover his moderate length auburn hair. He wears a mask on his face.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Rolen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
