History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
