History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Through the years after Varis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Varis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Katherine was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She struck the Bricklayer job and began her own company from there.
