History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Hethress was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Hethress's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
