He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She got into the Tanner business at a young age. A freak accident while working with her Doctor father left her crippled. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. He struck the Brewer job and began his own company from there.
