History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. He found a children's book about a Dwarf Commoner who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. After a long history of fighting, Dworic and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Butcher they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Soapmaker, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Layabout. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult.
