History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.

Personality: Geva is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She got into the Apothecary business at a young age. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She tends to her Apothecary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job.

Description: This southern man wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized black coat. His clothes are grease stained in places. His white hair is heavily combed to the left. His black eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Cimer was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and wants to raise his children well
