History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and retire the richest man in the west

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He got into the Bellfounder business at a young age. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and further expansion of business
