Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Baker for hire.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

He now mingles about in high society.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hecat grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she desires power and/or immortality
