History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Shanairla was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Heather hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Heather was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.
