It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Cloud was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: His divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and he is unsatisfied with his job

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She's also a talented Hunter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
