History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. After a long history of fighting, Ugol and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. Bella enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bella grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food.
