History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Kilia was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. During his travels, Curran and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Curran discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Curran fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
