History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Jarsali was born on a far northern desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Map Maker. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: She is a very philanthropic person; she spends her free time working at various soup kitchens. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Althaea is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Althaea was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
