To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Beiro. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Tenena lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: Akta was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
