History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Veloptima grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Veloptima. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Seamstress.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He works hard and plays hard.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Arava alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and she desires power and/or immortality

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Kathra's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Kathra was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Herbalist. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: To be a Carpenter again; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
