History: Pearl lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: The child of a Soapmaker, who enjoyed hunting, Roland was taken on many hunting expeditions. Roland liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has worked as a Map Maker like his mother before him.
