History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Joan grew up listening to her father's many stories. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She came across an abandoned tomb where she found a relic that called out to her. After picking it up she was cursed by vampirism.

She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Helen and her spouse have recently divorced.
