Personality: While she is on the job, she is grim and serious. She understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Halfling companion (her 'brother'). She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact.

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. The war was a terrible time for her, and Bilga does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bilga was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Eleanor is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Eleanor was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Soapmaker for hire.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he wants to meet his childhood hero
