History: Born in the south to a Navigator, Surina learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Navigator. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: Mella lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Edge never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
