He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. After a long history of fighting, Peren and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Silvo took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up sword and armor he uses now. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Raiann was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. At a young age her father died while driving off some dire rats. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in warhammer use. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ovina grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ovina. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Gnomish artifacts is her passion; and she feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world
