Personality: She likes to brag about her accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Gurdis lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. The war was a terrible time for him, and Zunn does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Zunn was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Zunn 's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Gardener for hire.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born to a Locksmith, her mother struggled to pay the bills. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
