Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Qualen was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
