History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Zephan was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Zephan's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. He always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Description: This northern woman wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. She conceals her club with her veritable burlap sack of a shirt. Her clothes are grease stained in places. Her hair is always cut to a buzz. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She is obsessed with her god.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. She has worked as a Bookbinder like her mother before her.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and expand her business
