History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the west were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 15 years.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and wants to raise her children well
