In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Thiala alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Ilanis wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Aristocrat, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She disdains her fellow southerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. When Hobart reached his early adolescence his Halfling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Knight hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down.
