History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. At some point she was captured by dire rats and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. He has achieved small success as a Bookbinder.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult; and he is content
