History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Rael was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she is greedy

Personality: Emmeline speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Emmeline hails from a village terrorized by giants. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Bather. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bather.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and meet up once more with her childhood friend

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. The war was a terrible time for him, and Lamlis does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Lamlis hails from a village terrorized by orcs. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered orcs who tried to eat his hand. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of orcs; and he loathes his own lifestyle
