Personality: Qualen is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. The war was a terrible time for him, and Qualen does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
