History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Baern alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
