History: Sammal hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Sammal fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Gardener hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and to reunite with her old friends
