Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Gurdis was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
